Meet Yamikani Msosa,

Yamikani has been teaching yoga for over 4 years. She is known for Trauma Informed Practice, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Trap Yoga. Her teaching style is intentional, open and reflective.

"Yoga is not just about the asanas (poses) it’s about the way we carry ourselves through the universe. My yoga practice is about connecting with the Niyamas and Yamas, practicing no harm to self and to others, taking what I need, rather than acting from greed. It’s also about checking in with my body mind spirit. It’s an understanding that the world operates is cycles. I guess in short, yoga has been the practice of presence."

Yamikani makes her classes memorable with her themes and intentionality. She offers gifts like essential oils and crystals that you can take into their personal space, that allow you to reflect on what you felt during your yoga practice. Yamikani works with options props and making the class accessible. “I think my ability to make classes accessible to different bodies, including folks who may be trans or gender non conforming. I'm mindful of appropriation and teach yoga with that in mind”.
